In Frankfurt am Main, on Monday 27 th August 1812, at 10 in the morning, there appeared before me, the undersigned local civil registrar, a local citizen and tradesman Mr Carl Feist, aged 27 and living behind the rail (railway?) wall Lit: D No.89, who explained in the presence of 2 witnesses, 1) the local citizen and ?coachman Mr. Johann Andreas Wentzel, 48 years old, and 2) the local citizen and master baker Mr. Johann Christoph Kuentzel, 43 years old, that his wife, Sara, a born Reinach from Mainz, did on the 22 nd at 5 in the afternoon give birth to a daughter, ?? to whom he gave the name Johanna, adding that this daughter was the 4 th child of this marriage.
This explanation ( statement) was read out to the father and witnesses present and signed by them.
